5 Ways to Feel More Youthful

Like it or not, everyone is going through the process of aging. The last thing most people want is to no longer feel youthful, but don’t worry; there are ways that you can feel more youthful that will give you more energy and stamina. The Fountain of Youth has yet to be found, so here are some tips to help you out in the meantime.

  • Drink plenty of water. Water hydrates your body and flushes out the impurities. It is recommended that you drink 6-8 glasses of water each day. It can be difficult but if by drinking water you feel more youthful, isn’t it worth it?
  • Eat fruits and vegetables each day. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables provide wonderful nutrients to your body and if combined with drinking plenty of water, you will feel as youthful as you did when you were a youngster.
  • Exercise. There are two kinds of exercise you should practice at least three times per week; cardio and strength. Cardio is typically activities such as running, walking, playing a sport, or doing jumping jacks. Strength is typically activities such as lifting weights, yoga, push-ups and sit-ups. If you can practice both cardio and strength training on a regular basis, you will feel quite energetic and healthy which, of course, will make you feel more youthful
  • Have a positive attitude. Remember when you are a kid and it always seemed as though everything was great? You were hardly ever stressed out and had positive attitudes about so many things in your life. If you want to feel youthful, embrace a positive attitude about everything in your life as you did when you were a child. Aging does not mean you need to feel upset or stressed out; do not let it have that effect on you.
  • Look youthful on the outside. Get a new hairdo, buy some up-to-date clothes, put on your red lipstick, shave your beard, or whiten your teeth. If you look youthful on the outside, it will help you feel youthful on the inside.

Aging is inevitable, but there are certainly ways that you can take care of yourself to feel more youthful.  Follow these tips and create a life that you love while feeling young and free.

Using Hypnosis to Improve Sleep

Have you ever had insomnia? Have you ever been so tired that you wanted to drop, but you just couldn’t get to sleep? Have you found that you’re tired all day, but when you get home, and it’s time for bed, you just can’t seem to fall asleep? These are all really common problems. Fortunately, there’s an easy, healthy, stress-lowering solution for insomnia.

Don’t reach for Ambien or some other pharmaceutical sleep aid. Even over-the-counter sleep aids like nighttime Tylenol or aspirin can mess up your sleep schedule even more than it already is. If it’s late at night, and you can’t sleep, taking a dose of one of these could knock you out well past your wake-up time. Oversleeping could mean losing your job, which would create even more stress, leading to even worse sleep issues.

If, on the other hand, you anticipate that you’ll need a sleep aid, and you take one of these, you could develop a dependency. Don’t risk addiction to pharmaceutical sleep aids. Instead, try hypnosis. Hypnosis is very much like meditation, and you can actually perform it on yourself to help you relax, let go of stress, and get a full night of deep sleep.

Seeking help from a certified, respected hypnotherapist can help you treat your sleeping problems and reduce your stress levels in no time. You can also learn how to hypnotize yourself and put yourself into a very relaxed, peaceful trance when you go to bed. Self-hypnosis is a lot like meditation. It will allow you to enter a very mindful, relaxed place. You’ll find your body almost floats when you go into a hypnotic trance, and you’ll soon sleep soundly every night without the fear of oversleeping and being late to work or school.

The Balance of Body, Mind, and Spirit

Have you ever met someone who was in fantastic physical shape but seemed to be lacking something in his or her intellectual or emotional life? Have you ever found that you get a lot of intellectual stimulation, but your lack of exercise makes your body feel sluggish? How are your spiritual connections with your loved ones and the world around you? Balancing mind, body, and spirit is really the only way to maintain a wholly healthy lifestyle.

One fantastic way to attain balance is to meditate after you exercise. If you make time in your day for twenty or thirty minutes of cardiovascular exercise, you’ll be able to maintain a healthy body weight, low resting heart rate, and low blood pressure. If, after you cool down from your workout, you take a few minutes to sit calmly and focus on your breathing, you’ll really begin to feel the good you’re doing for your body and spirit. You’ll be able to get in touch with what’s going on inside you.

If your work is very physical but does not challenge your mind very much, you should take some time to pursue mental stimulation outside of work. Pick up that book that you’ve been meaning to read forever. Watch a documentary in your downtime. You can further aid the balance of mind, body, and spirit if you take some time before or after you read that book or watch that documentary, to meditate for a while.

By doing this, you can get your mind into a very focused, present place, further nurturing and balancing all parts of your life. In all of your endeavors, be they professional or recreational, think about this balance. If you are mindful of all three parts of your life, you’ll pay attention to nurturing each of them as they deserve.
